Piano Lesson

What Do I Teach?

I hold a Bachelors and Masters degree in Voice Performance with background and further training/classes in vocal pedagogy, piano collaboration, and music education (grades K-elderly). I am well versed in a wide variety of musical skills and am happy to help you with your goals! Take a look for more info.

Voice (all levels)

Singer

Whether you're wanting to sing at a wedding, major in music at college, sing in choir or just get to know your own voice, singing lessons are a great way to learn to make music in a healthy and fun way!

Ear Training/Theory/AP Music Exam Prep (all levels)

Sheet Music

Due to my two degrees in music and extensive studies in theory, I am happy to help anyone prepare for skills in music that go beyond singing and playing, including music theory, AP exams, sight singing, ear training, college exam prep for music majors, etc.

Piano (all levels)

Boy Playing Synthesizer

Piano was my very first instrument and I love teaching it to all ages: I teach with compassion, humor, and good, solid technique to prevent injury, long lasting skills, and a breadth of repertoire depending on student wants and needs.

Audition Preparation (all levels)

Do you have a 16-32 bar cut as an actor for a musical? Are you hoping to win the lead in your school musical? Do you have to sight read for a choral audition? I can help you prepare for any auditions you might be facing so that you feel prepared, excited, and ready to tackle whatever you may face!

Miya is an excellent voice teacher. She really connected with my daughter and inspired her. Miya went above and beyond. She came to the solo ensemble competition and gave my daughter a fantastic pep talk that helped her relax and give a great performance. I was also very impressed with how professional Miya conducted herself. She was younger than some of our previous music instructors but she was fabulous!
